French defender Laurent Koscielny has commited his long term future to Arsenal, despite reports of a move away from the Emirates. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were amongst the teams eager to sign the talented centre back.
The 27-year-old came of age towards the end of last season, as he struck up a stunning partnership with German defender Per Mertesacker. Arsenal fans now consider the defender one of their best players and is now preferred to club captain Thomas Vermaelen.
"I have a four-year contract. For now, I am still at Arsenal," said Koscielny.
"The most important thing is that Arsenal is in the Champions League. It is super exciting to play against the best teams in Europe."
