Swansea City are being linked with a move for Liverpool's midfielder Jonjo Shelvey. The 21-year-old midfielder, capped one time by England, is currently out of favour at Anfield.
The Swans' manager Michael Laudrup have been given a budget of around £8m to spend on new players, and is ready to drop at least £5m of that on Shelvey's signature.
Since Shelvey joined Liverpool he has struggled to force his way into the first team, partially due to the impressive form of captain Steven Gerrard and the recent arrival of Philippe Coutinho has reduced the player's chances of regular first team action.
