Arsenal having already snared former Gunner Cesc Fabregas from the riches of the La Masia academy at the tender young age of 16, are now hoping for a repeat of the same as they set their sights on the signature of the highly rated Spanish prodigy Gerard Deulofeu.
The Gunners are in the race along with the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool to secure the services of the 19-year-old player on a season-long loan deal according to reports in the Spanish media.<br /><br />Gerard Deulofeu is considered as a regular for the Barcelona B team and has scored 18 goals in 33 matches last season. He has so far made 4 senior team appearances for the Catalan giants Barcelona and is currently playing in Turkey in the Under 20 World Championship helping his country's chances.<br />
Deulofeu scored twice in Spain's opening victory against the USA and is giving a good justification to all the hoopla surrounding his star status..
