Newcastle waiting for Cabaye offer from PSG

01 July 2013 - 07:49

Newcastle's new director of football Joe Kinnear is bracing himself for a mega money offer from French champions Paris St Germain for midfielder Yohan Cabaye. The impressive playmaker has been at the top of the French club's shortlist.

 • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
 • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
 • Cabaye is believed to be eager to return to his homeland as Newcastle are currently in talks with his agents regarding a fresh deal at St James' Park. Newcastle will not sell on the cheap though, with a reported 20 million Euro price tag on the player.
Since arriving at Newcastle for £4m two years ago, Cabaye has been one of Newcastle's top performers and most consistent players in the league. The new PSG coach Laurent Blanc is a huge fan of the midfielder and is hopeful a deal can be wrapped up shortly.
Recently the midfielder told reporters: "For the moment I'm at Newcastle. But you never know what happens in football – I let my agents work for me."
