Hull City want to bring veteran defender Richard Dunne in to shore up their defence ahead of their return to the Premier League. Dunne was released by his former club Aston Villa at the end of last year.
The 33 year old defender was deemed surplus to requirements by Paul Lambert at the end of last year, despite playing in 28 league games for the Villans. Aston Villa decided against offering the player a new contract.
Hull manager Steve Bruce, on the other hand, wants to bring in some more experience at the back and has decided that Dunne should be the next player they sign.
