Chelsea will today officially announce the signing of Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Marco van Ginkel. The talented playmaker will arrive at Stamford Bridge and sign a five year contract with Jose Mourinho's side.
"Chelsea Football Club and Vitesse Arnhem have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marco van Ginkel," read a statement on Vitesse's website. "The player will join Chelsea subject to a medical, agreement of personal terms and legal documentation."<br />
Chelsea have paid a reported 9 million Euros to secure van Ginkel's coveted signature. The transfer is pending the Blues and the player agreeing personal terms, which is expected to be wrapped up this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest.
