Southampton keen on Leandro Damiao signature

Southampton are the latest team to show interest in Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao. The forward has been chased for several months by Tottenham, but Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino is confident that a deal can be hijacked.

&pound;18million is the reported asking price of Brazilian club Internacional for their star player, and the Saints reportedly have a huge budget of over&nbsp;&pound;30 million to spend on new players this year.<br />

So far, Tottenham have been unable to agree a fee with the Brazilian club for Damiao, and now the Saints are hopeful that a deal can be reached.
