Ajax Keen On Signing Bojan

Ajax Keen On Signing Bojan

06 July 2013 - 07:53

Frank de Boer admits that Ajax are very keen on landing the Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic this summer. Boer is hoping to bolster up his attacking front by signing the 22-year-old.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Bojan has spent his last season on loan at AC Milan on loan from Roma. He managed to score 3 goals in 19 Serie A appearances. But Barcelona exercised the buy-back clause mentioned in the contract with Giallorossi to bring back the forward to Camp Nou.

De Boer believes that Bojan would be a valuable addition to Ajax, following the exit of players like Ryan Babel and Miralem Sulejmani.

"He’s a quality player who knows what it’s like to perform at the highest level," Boer told Votbal International.

"Bojan is a roving attacker like a Viktor Fischer-type. He’s not a real right winger like Isaac Cuenca, but I would like to have him."

Bojan is forced to look for other clubs in search for more playing minutes, considering Barcelona’s already wealthy attacking division. The talented forward has also attracted the attention of other clubs like PSV and Feyenoord but it is understood that Bojan has set his eyes on the top Eredivisie side.

Bojan’s agent confirms his clients desire to be a part of the Eredivisie. He says:

"Bojan only wants to go to the Netherlands”

"A club like Real Betis doesn’t have a chance. There are many reasons [why he wants to go to Netherlands].

"All three clubs [PSV, Feyenoord and Ajax] have positive and negative points. He’s got a good impression of the coaches of the clubs”, says Alexander Bursac.
