Atletico Madrid have lodged a 24 million Euro bid for Bosnian international Edin Dzeko. The Manchester City forward has been told that he is not a guaranteed part of the first team under new manager, Manuel Pellegrini.
Since Atletico Madrid have sold Radamel Falcao to Monaco this summer already, the Spanish side are scouring the world to find a new striking acquisition. They have been alerted to the availability of the former Wolfsburg striker and have already made sent an offer to City representatives.<br />
Man City are close to securing a deal that will bring Alvaro Negredo in from Sevilla, as an instant replacement for the tall forward.<br />
Atletico Madrid are not the only team interested in the striker though, as there is also some interest from Borussia Dortmund as well as Italian side Inter Milan.
