The La Liga giants Barcelona have made a £30million bid for the Brazilian and Chelsea defender David Luiz . Reports suggest that the Blues would refuse the offer straight away as its well below their evaluation for the player.
The Catalan side, who for all of their midfield strength remain short of options at the backline, are prepared to add up on their offer for the talented defender who is viewed as their long time successor to their club captain Carlos Puyol.
David Luiz , since his arrival from Benfica in January 2011 to the Stamford Bridge club, has become a key player for the Blues but could be tempted in joining arguably Europe's strongest side.
The Brazilian International Luiz would be willing to the move if it goes through as he could be playing alongside Brazil team-mates Dani Alves and Neymar.
