Manchester City's new manager Manuel Pellegrini has no plans to spend huge amounts of money on new players, and will instead focus more on City's youth setup. The Chilean boss has already spent big though, with his summer signings of Fernandinho and Jesus Navas.
There is a bounty of excellent youth players coming through at the Etihad, and for the time being City will focus on pushing those players through the ranks.
"It is impossible to buy three, four or five players every year," Pellegrini explained. "We need a mix with young players. We need to work with the under-21s."
