Arsenal boss Wenger quiet on Luis Suarez interest

12 July 2013 - 15:44

Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger has chosen to keep quiet when asked about a potential interest in Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez. The forward, who will miss the first 10 games of the season through suspension, has been linked with a move away from Anfield all summer.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?
  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?

  • Arsenal, who are currently away in Asia on tour, have been linked with a host of new strikers this summer and many believed Gonzalo Higuain to be the primary target for the club. However, in recent days Arsenal's interest in Suarez has gone public.

When asked about an interest in the forward, Wenger said: "Suarez? As you know the transfer period demands secrets and confidentiality, so I can't answer the question."
