Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has turned down a loan move to West Ham after an assurance of first team action at Chelsea by manager Jose Mourinho. According to reports in the Express, West Ham are now looking for a striker elsewhere.

  • Lukaku has also been tagged as the new Didier Drogba by many and the ‘Special One’ wants to test the powerful 20-year-old striker, which means Lukaku would get first-team chances this season.

Lukaku managed to strike 17 goals last season, which he spent on loan at West Brom. His performance attracted the attention of Hammers manager Sam Allardyce, who offered him a loan deal. But according to media reports, Lukaku has rejected the loan offers.

Allardyce also targeted Lukaku’s Chelsea teammate Demba Ba but his offer met an instant rejection by the Stamford Bridge.
