Edinson Cavani to join Paris St Germain today

15 July 2013 - 07:29

Edinson Cavani is expected to finally seal his long awaited move to Paris St Germain from Napoli today. Laurent Blanc, the PSG manager, has made signing Cavani his top priority since taking charge of the French club last month.

  • Arsenal & Man Utd handed boost in signing French star
  • Man Utd planning to replace Erik ten Hag after FA Cup final

  • Cavani has been linked with a host of teams from all over Europe for over two seasons, with Man Utd, Real Madrid and Barcelona amongst those interested. Cavani has attracted the cream of the crop from European football.

However, PSG appear to have won the race to secure the coveted forward's signature. The 26-year-old will earn a reported 10 million Euros per year in France and will sign a four year contract at the Parc Des Princes.

It is understood that Napoli are disappointed that the Uruguayan forward decided to leave, as the club had hoped that Cavani would stay in Italy for another season.
