Valencia's Miguel Angel Angulo is eager for Ronald Koeman to begin working with the team as Los Che look to arrest their slide down La Liga.
Valencia have lost five of their last six competitive matches and on Wednesday crashed to a 5-1 home defeat to Real Madrid, with former reserve team coach Oscar Fernandez leading the side following Sanchez Flores' sacking.
Angulo said of Koeman's impending arrival: "What I want is him to come in right away and to start working with us as soon as possible, and that we begin picking up good results.
"The team needs calm to face the next few games, which are very important."
The Spain international also paid tribute to Fernandez for his attitude after taking the job on, saying: "Oscar has done the best that he can. I have liked his spirit and his fight, his desire. He cannot be blamed for anything."
Valencia youngster Juan Manuel Mata added in Marca: "I hope that with the new coach the team improve and we return to where we were with that run of consecutive victories (earlier in the season)."
