Mourinho Confirms Move For Rooney

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed his side have made an official bid for Wayne Rooney. Mourinho insists the club is presently solely focused on bringing Rooney to the Stamford Bridge.

However, the Premier League champions are not in the mood to negotiate as they insist the English international is not for sale. United have rejected the opening bid from the Blues for the striker.<br />

Mourinho, after a 1-0 win over Thailand All-Stars in Bangkok, said:<br />

"I think that this situation is clear - nothing is a secret anymore," he told reporters.<br /> <br /> "The official bid is just about a certain amount of money and doesn't involve players.<br /> <br /> "We want the player. We made the bid and now we have nothing more to say.<br /> <br /> "Now it's up to Manchester United."
