Julio Cesar deal to Napoli falls through

Julio Cesar deal to Napoli falls through

19 July 2013 - 16:15

Josias Cardoso, the agent of QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, has confirmed that a deal that would have seen the Brazilian move to Italian side Napoli has fallen through. The club were unable to match his current salary in London.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • “Julio does not want his wages to be cut,” said Cardoso. “It’s already asking a lot for him to move to Napoli and receive the same money he was getting at QPR without asking for a rise.

“The final word will be down to president De Laurentiis. We’ve not yet reached an agreement with the club on the goalkeeper’s salary. They’ve made me an offer, but it was too far away from what my client is currently on.”
