West Ham are hoping to sign Scott Parker from Tottenham after the midfielder fell further down the pecking order at Tottenham with the arrival of Brazilian star Paulinho.
Parker has been a first team regular for Andre Villas-Boas' side in recent seasons, but is no longer expected to be first player on the teamsheet.
A potential deal has been talked up by Hammers' chairman David Sullivan: “We have to focus wages on strikers due to wage cap but would love Scott Parker back if there was room.
"We’re happy with the rest of the team. All we need now is pace and goals.”
