Mancini confident vs. Inter

Mancini confident vs. Inter

03 November 2007 - 12:42

Roberto Mancini and Claudio Ranieri have had a war of words prior to the Serie A battle between Inter and Juventus this weekend. Mancini believes his side are by far and away the best in the league, especially given the mass exodus of top quality players from Juve including Ibrahimovic and Vieira.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Juventus had to reconstruct their team a little bit and all the other big clubs have champions they can field," said Mancini.

"We have five very talented strikers and in defence a few more players than the other Serie A sides. We have a great squad."

Juve got back to winning ways on Wednesday, following Sunday's controversial 3-1 defeat at Napoli, beating Empoli 3-0 and coach Claudio Ranieri believes his squad is primed to tackle the champions.

"Now we can focus on Inter. They have a great squad, but we will try to beat them not only for ourselves, but also to make this Serie A season even more exciting," he said.

"We will certainly give it our best shot. We know they are like a tank."
