Espanyol defender Hector Moreno is a target for Welsh side Cardiff City. The defender has been linked with a £4 million move to the Premier League with Swansea, but Cardiff are hopeful they can beat their rivals to Morenos signature.
So far this summer, Cardiff have been relatively quiet in the transfer market but the Mexican centre back Moreno would be a major acquisition for the Bluebirds. The player, who has played over 45 times for his country, has been with Espanyol since 2011 after a stint with Dutch side AZ.<br />
Cardiff manager Malky Mackay is hopeful that a deal can be wrapped up within the next two weeks as the Welsh side look to bring in some new blood for their first season in the Premier League.
