Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will switch his attentions to a move for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette should a deal for Liverpool's Luis Suarez fall through. The 22-year-old is highly related at OL, but the Gunners are confident they can agree a move for the French international.
The 5 foot 9 forward impressed this week in a friendly game against Real Madrid and Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi reportedly watched the match to monitor the youngster in action.
The forward, who is comfortable playing on the wings or as a lone striker, scored 3 goals in 28 Ligue 1 games last year as Lyon deployed the youngster mainly as a right winger.
Arsenal have already been in conversation with Liverpool forward Luis Suarez regarding a transfer move, but the Anfield side have quoted a fee believed to be too expensive for the Gunners and now Arsene Wenger is evaluating other transfer options instead.
