New Premier League side Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has confirmed that they have agreed a deal with Brentford to sign goalkeeper Simon Moore.
Mackay admitted that they have been tracking the 23 year old for over a year and expressed delight at finally having secured his signature.
Moore signed with Brentford in 2009 before being loaned out to Basingstoke Town for a year. The former Southampton youth goalkeeper has managed 64 appearances for his former club before signing with Cardiff.
Mackay told the Hounslow Chronicle: "It'll be paperwork first thing Monday morning, that's the only thing holding that one up."
"I'm glad to get that one in, he's someone we've tracked for a year and he's had a successful year for Brentford.
"He's one that I think is a real prospect. For the future of the club, I've got three really good goalkeepers now; Simon comes in and I think he can kick on again.
