  • The 24 year old Japan international moved to Old Trafford last summer but has failed to cement his place in the first team following a series of injuries.

Following a disappointing campaign, there has been reports that the playmaker might look for a return to the Bundesliga.

However, Klopp revealed that Kagawa was quick to turn down his offer as he aims to make his mark in the Premier League this season under new boss David Moyes.

"This is not an issue for him this year, not even for us," Klopp told Sky Deutschland.

"It was clear relatively quickly, Shinji wants to prevail this year at Manchester United. I did not expect a different answer, you just have to ask even once."
