Ajax duo Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld turn down Russia moves

Ajax's best two players, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld, have turned down moves to Russia. The players have been linked with moves to the Premier League, but have so far only received offers from the likes of Zenit and Anzhi.

The Danish midfielder Eriksen has attracted the interest of Liverpool and Tottenham, and is prepared to stay at Ajax for the coming season after turning down moves to Russia.<br />

On the other hand, defender Alderweireld is ready to quit Ajax but has told reporters that he would prefer to stay in the Netherlands instead of Russia. Anzhi made a massive 15 million Euro offer for Alderweireld last week which had been accepted by Ajax, but the player rejected a move to the Russian side.<br />

It is still uncertain as to whether or not the duo will be staying in Amsterdam, especially as the end of the transfer window approaches at the end of August.
