QPR set to sign midfielder Gary O'Neil

<strong>Championship side Queens Park Rangers have agreed a contract with free agent Gary O ' Neil according to Sky Sports.</strong>

  • The 30 year old mifielder has been lookin for a new club after havinng been released by West Ham earlier this year in June. <br />

    O'Neil joins Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road for the second time in his career after having worked with him Portsmouth earlier. Redknapp has already signed Danny Simpson, Richard Dunne and Charlie Austin this summer as he bids to promote his team back to the Premier League.<br />

    O'Neil joined the Hammers in 2011 and during his two year stay he managed 48 appearances scoring 3 goals. Despite having been released earlier in June, the midfielder was in constant negotiations with West Ham over a possible new deal.<br />

    However, David Gold, joint chairman of West Ham, announced that the former Portsmouth player refused the new contract that was offered to him.
