Barcelona have agreed a new deal with Cristian Tello that will keep him at the club until at least 2018. The new contract signed has put an end to all speculations surrounding his future as his stay has been extended by another two years.
The new deal also has a provision of a buyout clause of €25m. A club statement on the Barcelona website read,
"Cristian Tello has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2018 and contains a buyout clause of €25m."
Tello signed his first professional first-team contract with the Liga champions last December. He has played 34 games for the club and scored 8 goals. New coach Gerardo Martino finds the 21-year-old a promising option for attack, hence the new deal.
The talented youngster rose up the youth ranks of Barcelona before making it to the first team under former boss Tito Vilanova.
