Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa has insisted that he is happy to stay at the La Liga outfit despite reported interest from Liverpool. The Reds had made a bid of £21.8m for the striker last week, a transfer fee that was thought to trigger a release clause in the player's contract. <br /><br />However, the 24-year-old striker admitted that he has heard nothing about the potential switch to Anfield and wants to stay at the Spanish giants.
Costa was quoted saying in AS : "I'm well here, I'm happy here.<br /><br />"As I've been in Argentina and Uruguay I've not heard anything about this. I'm happy here, if the club want me to be here, I'm going to be here.<br /><br />"I think that the coach [Diego Simeone] counts on all of us, not just me. He knows how important it is to maintain the squad, the fans know it as well."<br /><br />
