Odemwingie move to Al Nasr breaks down

West Bromwich striker Peter Odemwingie's purported move to Dubai based side Al Nasr has broken down according to Sky sources.

  • The 32 year old has been itching for a move away from the Hawthorns ever since January after alleging his club of 'reaching into his own pocket'.

The Nigeria international continued his flirtation with QPR but his move failed to go through as the Baggies were reluctant over letting him go in the middle of the season.

However, Steve Clarke is now ready to offload Odemwingie this summer after having brought in replacements in the form of former Chelsea forward Nicolas Anelka and youngster Matej Vydra.

However, Al Nasr are unlikely to renew their interest in the striker after revealing that the Premier League club have refused to discus the deal with them.

Odemwingie has been training with the reserves and is likely to find himself on the bench at the start of the season if he fails to find another club to sign for before the season kick starts this weekend.
