The Hammers have reportedly made a £3m bid for Besiktas striker Hugo Almeida according to reports in Turkey.
According to Milliyet, the Turkish club are considering to offload Almeida as they try to weigh up a bid for Tottenham's Emmanuel Adebayor.<br />
Besiktas Director of Football Onder Ozen recently said : "We need to restructure our wages and negotiate a more reasonable contract deal with him.<br /><br />"We will consider offers for Almeida, especially if we can't reach an agreement regarding his wages."<br />
Almeida who previously plyed his trade with Porto and Werder Bremen, spoke of his desire to play in the Premier League or La Liga. <br /><br />He told A Bola last summer: "It is no secret and I've said several times, I would like to play in England or Spain sometime."<br /><br />Almeida scored nine goals in 20 appearances for Besiktas last season.<br /><br />
