Everton expect no more Man Utd offers for Baines

16 August 2013 - 09:29

After Everton rejected a £12m bid for their left back Leighton Baines from Manchester United, manager Roberto Martinez told reporters that he does not expect David Moyes to make a fresh offer for the player.

 • David Moyes, who swapped Everton for Manchester United this summer, had been linked with moves for players from his former club; including the likes of Marouane Fellaini and left back Baines appeared to be Moyes' top transfer priority.
"They made it clear it was their final offer," said Martinez.
"We would hope David Moyes feels that he owes something to Everton. If someone tells you it is their final offer, it should be their final offer.”
