Portsmouth want Cuevas

Portsmouth want Cuevas

05 November 2007 - 23:10

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is reportedly considering a move for Paraguayan international winger Nelson Cuevas during the January transfer window. Redknapp is known to be concerned that much of his attacking talent is leaving the club for the African Nations and Cuevas may fit the bill.

  • Man Utd expecting €80m boost with double player sale
  • Confirmed Liverpool line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Galatasaray, Salah starts
  • Redknapp is looking to add some extra depth to his attacking options and has identified Cuevas, 27, as the man to fulfil this need.

However, Cuevas doesn't have a great strike record at either club or international level and it would be a risk for Redknapp to bring him to Portsmouth as he also lacks a significant physical presence, which could see him struggle to adapt to the English game.
