Roma midfielder Erik Lamela is not on the verge of a move to Tottenham, despite reports that the Argentinian midfielder will be flying to London to complete a deal this week.

The player's representative, Pablo Sabbag, has already told reporters that talk of an imminent move to Tottenham is wide of the mark.<br />

"I&rsquo;m not in London and what is being said is not the truth," said the agent. "I&rsquo;m in Italy along with Erik&rsquo;s father. Lamela&rsquo;s relaxed about it all. We&rsquo;re just waiting for developments. Let&rsquo;s see what happens."
