No new Arsenal bid for Cabaye

22 August 2013 - 15:17

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has told reporters that no new offer has been received for midfielder Yohan Cabaye. The French international had been linked with a move to Arsenal this week after the Gunners made a formal bid for the player.

 • Chelsea suffer big injury blow ahead of Everton game
 • Enzo Fernandez refuses to rule out Chelsea exit
 • Cabaye is reportedly ready to make a switch to London and the Gunners and has instructed his agent to do all he can to make a deal happen.
But that does not seem to sit well with Newcastle's manager Pardew, who today told gathered journalists: "I think the situation with Yohan is an ongoing situation and we will take each day as it comes.
"There's been one bid and I've turned that down, and that's really all I'm going to say on that."
