Raul scores for Real Madrid in friendly return

Real Madrid legend Raul returned to the Santiago Bernabeu today to play in the Santiago Bernabeu friendly cup game against Al Sadd. He played 45 minutes for each team. Real Madrid won the game 5-0, thanks to goals from Raul, Isco, a penalty from Benzema, and a brace from young striker Jese.

  • The legendary striker managed to get on the scoresheet, as he wore his traditional number 7 shirt with Cristiano Ronaldo wearing the vacant number 11 shirt. 



    Raul moved to Al Sadd in Qatar after two seasons at German club Schalke. He is currently Real Madrid's most capped player with 741, and has scored the highest number of goals in the club's history, with 341 goals. He also holds the record for the highest number of appearances in the the Champions league, with 142 appearances to his name.
