Stoke deny Crystal Palace first win

Stoke deny Crystal Palace first win

24 August 2013 - 23:17

Stoke City beat Crystal Palace to earn their first win of the Premier League season, while denying Crystal Palace their first win after their return to the top flight.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • Former Arsenal man Marouane Chamakh opened his account with his new club after shoving his way through Stoke's defenders Ryan Shawcross and Robert Huth to slide in his shot.

Charlie Adam and Shawcross scored two second half goals in the space of 4 minutes to ensure the Potters took home three points. Steven N'zonzi missed a chance when he hit the post.

Peter Crouch's goal drought went on as he missed a clear cut chance after a Matthew Etherington cross.
