Benitez warns rest of Europe

07 November 2007 - 21:16

Despite Liverpool's disappointing Champions League campaign, an 8-0 victory against Besiktas has improved morale considerably in the Liverpool camp according to boss Rafa Benitez. Benitez has also said that the rest of Europe will be wary after such a performance.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Reds ran riot on the hapless Turkish side at Anfield on Tuesday to set a record high-scoring victory for Europe's top club competition.

"Porto now have to come to Anfield in the next match and they will be worried by this," said the Liverpool boss after the game.

"The rest of Europe will also be aware of what we have done.

"But in the end we still have to win those last two games, regardless of how many goals we scored this time, we can beat Porto next, and our supporters will also have confidence in us too."
