Manchester United boss Moyes sidesteps Bale question

27 August 2013 - 06:13

Manchester United manager David Moyes sidestepped questions related to a surprise bid for Gareth Bale after it emerged late yesterday that there has been an offer by another club for the winger.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • The reigning champions of England played out a goalless draw last night against Chelsea and the new manager is believed to be still looking for transer options this summer.

The 24 year old Tottenham winger was widely reported to be on the verge of completing a transfer to La Liga giants Real Madrid earlier last week but Spurs have confirmed that they have received another offer from a different club for the Welshman.

Speaking after last night's draw, the Scot told Sky Sports: "I said at the start that Manchester United will always be interested in the best players and we'll always be looking to try and improve the team.

"The owners have given me every opportunity to get who I want so we'll continue to look for those players. It's been tough in this window but we're always looking at the best players."
