Liverpool enter talks with PSG over Mamadou Sakho

Liverpool have started off negotiations with the French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain over the transfer for Mamadou Sakho, according to Sports Direct News .

The French defender is keen on leaving the French side in order to play regular football ahead of the FIFA 2014 World Cup to be held in Brazil.

  • According to Sports Direct News, the Reds have opened up talks with the Parisiens over a deal for the defender.



    In spite of having Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel and Kolo Toure in their ranks, the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to be eager on adding another central defender to the squad with news suggesting that Sebastian Coates would miss the rest of the season due to injury.



    Liverpool will have to fight of interest from Arsenal and Manchester City, who are also said to be keen on acquiring the services of Frenchman.
