PSG deny having made any offer for Cabaye

28 August 2013 - 12:49

Paris Saint Germain chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi has confirmed that the French heavyweights have not made any offer for Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

 • Confirmed Man Utd line-up vs Liverpool, Matheus Cunha starts
 • Chelsea quoted price to sign Igor Thiago
 • However, he also admitted that coach Laurent Blance continues to be a firm admirer of the Toon midfielder and they could well make a late move for him this summer.
"Yohan Cabaye? He is a great player and I know Laurent Blanc likes him a lot," Al-Khelaifi is quoted by L'Equipe.
"But we didn't make any offer to Newcastle."
Cabaye, 27, has been rumored to be drawing interest from a host of clubs across Europe including Arsenal who had their offer turned down by the Magpies.
The France international is believed to be looking for a move away from St.James' Park and compete in the Champions League this season but Alan Pardew remains confident to keep the star at the club.
