Manchester City have wrapped up a deal for Argentinian defender Martin Demichelis in a deal worth approximately £3.5m. The player arrives at Manuel Pellegrini's side from Atletico Madrid, who yesterday wrapped up a deal for Toby Alderweireld.
Man City were frantatically trying to secure a deal for a new defender before the end of the transfer window this week after an injury to Vincent Kompany left the former Premier League champions short on defensive options.
Demichelis left Malaga for Atletico Madrid at the end of last season, but has decided to move after a short space of time already.
The Argentinian has signed a two year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
