Former Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland has been spotted at the Britannia stadium as he looks to finalise his loan move from Aston Villa.

The 27 year old has been struggling to get into the first team at Aston Villa after a string of disappointing performances lasts season forced manager Paul Lambert to demote him to the bench.<br />

The Republic of Ireland international moved to Villa in 2010 and has only managed 47 appearances during the three seasons he spent there.
