Marouane Fellaini signs for Man Utd

03 September 2013 - 00:58

Manchester United have completed the signing of Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini for a fee of £27.5m.

The Red Devils have been tracking the central midfielder throughout the summer, but failed in various attempts to recruit Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas and Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera.

Former Toffees manager David Moyes, who had always maintained keen interest on the Belgian International's signature, had several offers rebuffed for the player.

However, the Premier League champions won the battle to acquire his services of the talented Belgian with a final hour bid worth £27.5m and managed to get a deal done before the transfer deadline at 11pm.
