The Europa League champions Chelsea are keen on acquiring the services of Barcelona's veteran goalkeeper Victor Valdes on a free transfer next summer.
The 31-year-old Spanish International is expected to make a switch away from the La Liga champions next summer, when his current deal comes to an end.<br /><br />Barca President Sandro Rosell has recently revealed of the club's interest in holding on to the talented goalkeeper, but it is understood that the Spaniard is unwilling to change his mind, as he looks upon for a new challenge elsewhere.<br /><br />According to Sport, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho who is a keen admirer of the the shot stopper, could make a move for the player come next summer.
However, this could lead to the sale of on-loan Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the opposite direction.
