Edinson Cavani turned down multiple Man City approaches

10 September 2013 - 16:09

Paris St Germain's striker Edinson Cavani turned down numerous approaches by former coach Roberto Mancini's Man City side over the past year. The Italian manager had hoped to make the Uruguayan forward his first choice striker.

  • Chelsea beat Inter Milan to sign £47m Italian star
  • Tottenham finally agree terms with Man Utd target
  • However, it is now being reported that Cavani had never been that interested in a move to the Premier League as he isn't impressed with what Manchester City had to offer.

The PSG forward's agent said: "I can reveal that Roberto Mancini had asked several times to bring Cavani from Naples.

"But City's option never impressed Edinson. He immediately ruled out a transfer to England."
