Steven Gerrard to captain Liverpool for the 400th time

16 September 2013 - 13:25

Liverpool's star midfielder Steven Gerrard is all set to lead the Reds for the 400th time as captain in tonight's Premier League encounter against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The England International is all poised to reach the milestone against the Swans, after making his debut with the skipper's armband in November 2002 where he bowed out of the match with a victory over Southampton at Anfield in the League Cup.

The Merseyside club are currently placed third in the Premier League having won all three of their matches with a 1-0 scoreline.
