Carlo Ancelloti: 'Iker Casillas will be back with us in three or four days'

18 September 2013 - 00:59

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas has not suffered any major injury setback and should be available in "three or four" days.

  • Chelsea transfer update on Maxence Lacroix
  • England star to join Chelsea in two-year deal
  • The 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper was handed his first start in a competitive fixture since January on Real Madrid's trip Galatasaray in the Champions League, in which the La Liga giants triumphed by a scoreline of 6-1.

However, Casillas' return to the first team lasted only 14 minutes after a collision with his fellow teammate Sergio Ramos which forced the Spain skipper off the field of play with a rib injury.

Ancelloti told reporters: "It was a good game. It was a fantastic result. We suffered a little bit in the first half.

"Iker? Hopefully Iker will be back with us in three or four days."

The Los Blancos are in search of their tenth Champions League title this season.
