Norwich City manager Chris Hughton delighted by Gary Hooper's performance

25 September 2013 - 00:19

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has expressed his delight at the performance of the club's summer signing Gary Hooper following his brace during the Canaries' 3-2 win over Watford in the Capital One Cup yesterday.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Canaries boss described the 25-year-old as a "finisher" and was delighted to have seen the talented forward gain some valuable game time.

He told reporters : "He is a finisher. I'm probably as delighted that he has got 120 minutes under his belt than I am with the goals.

"He is used to scoring but with all strikers it is about the service they get and showing a little bit of quality when they can.

"Both goals showed great movement, a super ball from Leroy Fer for the third. Even in that second half of extra time I was looking at how he was running and he was fine."
