Liverpool forward Suarez promises to fight for club

26 September 2013 - 08:39

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, who returned to the first team yesterday for the first time since his 10 game suspension last season, has promised to put in his very best for the club from now on.

  • Chelsea handed big injury boost for Bayern clash
  • Fernandes unhappy with Man Utd role under Amorim

  • The Uruguayan international played well on his comeback game against Man Utd yesterday despite his club slipping to a 1-0 defeat.

"All the time I try my best on the pitch. I’m here to help the team and help Liverpool and I'll try my best," Suarez told Liverpool TV. "I'm back because I can help the team and [being] off the pitch I can't. We'll keep going for the week and for the next game. The result is not good because we lost but the feeling is good because we played very well, we created chances and we missed."
