Valencia could make a move for their former player Juan Mata in the January transfer window. The Spain international is no longer a regular first team player for the club and could quit Chelsea when the transfer window opens.
Whilst a host of Premier League teams are interested in the 25-year-old, including the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham; it remains unclear whether or not manager Jose Mourinho would be willing to sell to a domestic rival. Enter Valencia, who have stepped up their interest in the midfielder and are preparing a 22 million Euro bid.
Mata is no longer a first team regular at Stamford Bridge, with Andre Schurrle and Willian both amongst the players preferred to Mata in the first team.
