Stoke City's reserve goalkeeper Jack Butland could be allowed to leave on loan, with Barnsley amongst the teams interested in the shot stopper. Butland has so far failed to dislodge number 1 Asmir Begovic from the first team.
Butland arrived at Stoke City with the promise of regular first team action, but so far has played second fiddle to Begovic at the club. With some question marks over his long term future under manager Mark Hughes, Butland is ready to take a move on loan.
The Great Britain goalkeeping representative at the Olympics last year is reportedly ready to open talks with Barnsley regarding a loan transfer until January.
